Milwaukee Chiropractors FAQ

Like other Milwaukee chiropractors, we hear many questions from new and current chiropractic patients.
Here are some of the most common questions and answers...

Milwaukee Chiropractors frequently asked questions

How long is the first appointment?

The first appointment typically takes one hour.

Does my insurance cover the visit?

We have an insurance specialist who will call to identify your Chiropractic insurance benefits.

Will I need X-rays?

If you have current X-Rays or MRI reports, please feel free to bring them to your first visit for your Milwaukee WI chiropractor to review. If you do not have any current reports to share, X-Rays may be taken upon your first visit.

How soon can I see a Doctor?

With four Milwaukee chiropractors on staff, we can usually get you in the same day. We work with your schedule to make it most convenient for you.

Do we accept Medicare patients?

Yes.

Do we accept Medicaid and Title 19?

We have one Doctor on staff who accepts these insurances.

Does insurance cover chiropractic treatments?

Most insurance companies have Chiropractic coverage, but not all employers offer this coverage. We offer a Free Benefits check, so you know what to expect up front.

Is chiropractic treatment covered under workman's compensation?

Yes. Let us know when you call that it will be a workman’s comp case. We will have you fill out the appropriate forms and then we submit them to your company for processing. If you have a workman’s comp case number or any information from your employer prior to your visit, bring that with you, as it helps us process your claims faster.

Do I need a medical referral to receive chiropractic treatment?

Not in most cases, but when we verify your insurance we will find that out. You can also call your insurance company to verify your own benefits ahead of time if you like.

Is your facility handicap accessible?

Yes.

Is my treatment going to hurt?

Our Milwaukee Chiropractors are trained to diagnosis and treat your case as an individual with the upmost care and consideration. We offer the Pro-Adjuster as a treatment option, along with hands on manipulation adjustments. Some Patients come to us in pain, but our goal is to have you walking out of our office in less and less pain with each visit.

How long do I have to come in for care?

Treatment length varies with each individual case. Generally, care falls into three groups: Acute, Supportive, and Wellness care. Acute care involves determining the present problem when pain is severe and determining a plan of action and treatment that best serves your individual case.

Supportive care is for individuals whose condition is chronic in nature and requires regular care to maintain a level of health.

Wellness care is for patients who find that chiropractic care enables them to function at their finest and may prevent minor problems from evolving into greater, more time consuming complications.

No matter what form of care you are looking for, our Chiropractors can provide you with excellent care to return you to the level of health and function that you are capable of achieving.

Are Chiropractors “real” doctors?

Milwaukee Chiropractors are certified doctors, trained to practice Chiropractic care on patients. Following graduation from a degree program, Chiropractic Doctors must pass National Board Examinations and state licensing tests before they may practice. Just like your MD is trained in his specialty, so are Chiropractors trained in theirs.
