Introducing Dr. Bob Carpenter
Born and raised in Port Huron, Michigan, "Dr. Bob," as he likes to be called, has deep roots in Chiropractic. His great uncle, grandfather, and father were Doctors of Chiropractic. In fact, his grandfather was the first Doctor of Chiropractic in Port Huron.
After graduating from high school, Dr. Bob went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in Bible and Music from William Tyndale College, with special studies at the University of Strasbourg in Strasbourg, France. After only a couple of years out of school, some life-changing experiences motivated him to pursue his degree as a Doctor of Chiropractic.
Dr. Bob graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in October, 1977 and established his practice in November of that same year. Yes, that makes over thirty years of practice in Hales Corners next to Whitnal Park.
Professionally, Dr. Bob has completed three post-graduate certifications in Sports Injury, Chiropractic Rehabilitation, and Industrial Injury and Ergonomics. He has been chairman of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association's fall convention, a member of the Chiropractic By-laws Committee of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association, District Chairman for the American Chiropractic Association/P.A.C., Chairman of the Worker's Compensation Committee SE district, and a sports injury consultant for both Athletes in Action and Heritage Christian School. He was nominated for the position of director of community healthcare for Sub Saharan Africa by a leading international missionary organization, HCJB Global. He has been the CEO for a physical therapy company, Back in Action, which ran eight Chiropractic physical therapy clinics consecutively for 15 years. He now manages three Chiropractic clinics and HealthWise Professional Billing Company, along with partnering in a new fitness company called Squeeze Studio Fitness. His Hales Corner clinic was one of only 16 certified in the nation as a Pneu Back Institute clinic. He is now part of a NIH certified university study researching new therapy equipment and exercise protocols for the treatment and rehabilitation of low back pain, and herniated and bulging discs. The study should be completed by spring of 2010. Findings so far are showing this new therapy to be the only treatment that rehydrates and reduces the bulging discs on post MRI. Dr. Bob is working daily on bringing new technology to help more and more individuals. This year he is studying the latest treatment for neuropathy and will be releasing the findings in the summer of 2009.
Dr. Bob is proudest of his accomplishments as a husband and father. He has been married to his wife Carol for over thirty five years. They have four great children and two amazing grand children (they made me put in the words amazing and great). In his hours outside the office Dr. Bob has kept himself very busy. Over the last thirty years he put his Bible and music degrees to good use by helping to plant three churches and serving as their minister of music. He is a founding member of the Jaycee's in Hales Corners, and is currently serving on the board of directors of Francophone Ministries for Christ an interdenominational Christian mission organization facilitating the work of partners in French speaking West African countries. Dr. Bob has traveled to Burkina Faso. Ghana, and Sierra Leone numerous times to provide chiropractic health care as well as to help construct several schools and an 8800 sq. ft. health care dispensary. On his last trip he helped to complete WRED's eighth radio station in Fada N’Gourma, Burkina Faso. He also participated in the national celebration with thousands of the 15th year anniversary of WRED the radio station his mission helped to plant. He is also an active committee member of the Wisconsin Spiritual Formation Forum. He was a past member and regular soloist for the Hales Corners Community Choir and sang as well with the exciting 2002 international, bronze medal-winning barbershop chorus, The Midwest Vocal Express. He continues to sing as guest soloist for churches in the Midwest and sings in the Hales Corners Lutheran Festival Choir. On his last trip to West Africa he committed to helping to complete two clinics in Sierra Leone. If you would like serving with him on one of his mission trips or help in some way, he would love to talk with you about your interest and pursue whatever part you could play.
Where is he going from here? Dr. Bob continues to enthusiastically motivate everyone around him to participate with him in better health and vitality and reaching out to help the world. He is working with doctors around the world to establish a village by village sustainable healthcare model with hands on, non-drug dependent healthcare. He invites you to be part of the thousands that are sharing the wonderful benefits found in living the Chiropractic vitalistic lifestyle.
Dr. Robert Carpenter visited West Africa in July 2008. While in Burkina-Faso, Dr. Bob celebrated the 15-year anniversary of the establishment of WRED, a Christian Radio Network.
