Here are some things I feel you can do to help your body prepare for Fall:
-Make sure to get a full 7-9 hours of sleep per night. Sleep is when our body repairs and recovers from the stresses of the day. If you're having trouble sleeping, try some herbal tea before bed or reading a book. Make sure to put down the electronic devices 30-60 minutes before bedtime as the light from them can make it harder to fall asleep.
-Take some time for yourself. Meditate. Read a book or a positive magazine. Stretch or do yoga. Exercise. We all need to unplug and help deal with the stress in our lives.
-Eat healthy and give your body the nourishment it needs. Avoiding things like sugar, dairy, and gluten reduces inflammation and pain. Feel like it's hard to cut out all of the above items? Pick one and start there. Make sure to also eat meals during the day, and don't skip breakfast!
-Supplement with vitamins and minerals. This helps give your body the building blocks to help repair and keep all of your systems functioning at an optimal level. Not sure where to start or what to take? Ask your HealthWise doctor. Everyone needs different supplementation and it can be confusing where to start. We also sell some of the highest quality supplements you can purchase.
-And last, but certainly not least, get adjusted! Adjustments help relieve the stress from the nervous system and removes interference so your brain can communicate more easily with the rest of your body. Being in alignment helps your body function at its highest level.
The whole HealthWise team wish you and your family a happy and healthy Fall season! We hope we will see you soon!
